Resident Who Took EP Rec Class Waiting For Coronavirus Results
Village said a person who took part in a class at Evergreen Park Activity Center on March 11 has shown symptoms of coronavirus.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A person who participated in a program at the Evergreen Park Activity Center, 3220 W. 98th St., is waiting for test results after exhibiting symptoms of a coronavirus infestation. Village officials said the person participated in a class there on March 11.
“To err on the side of caution, we are advising that anyone that may have been in
any classes on Wednesday, March 11 to follow the CDC guidelines and contact
his or her family physician to determine if they need start a 14-day self quarantine,” the village said in an email.

The activity center runs programs for all ages, including a basketball court, youth and adult men’s basketball leagues and t-ball league. It has since been deep-cleaned and disinfected.
All programs offered by the Evergreen Park Recreation Department, the Office of Citizens Services and Youth Department are on canceled until further notice.
