EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Police are alerting residents to be aware of fake social media accounts claiming to represent the Evergreen Park Police Department.

“Please note that the department does not have any official social media accounts at this time. Any accounts claiming to represent the department on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platforms are not affiliated with the department and should be considered fake,” police said in a statement.

Should residents come across any suspicious accounts claiming to be affiliated with Evergreen Park police, report them to the respective social media platform. For official updates and information, rely on trusted sources such as the village website and official press releases.
