Is 'Die Hard' A Christmas Movie? Vote In The Patch Twitter Poll

Let's decide ourselves if the 1988 film "Die Hard" starring Bruce Willis should be considered a Christmas movie.

One topic that's caused some disagreement during the holiday season for three decades now is whether or not the movie "Die Hard" should be considered a Christmas movie.

The story-line isn't like more traditional Christmas movies like "Home Alone," "A Christmas Story" or "It's a Wonderful Life." But the 1988 film starring Bruce Willis is a classic and it does take place on Christmas Day, with a Christmas party involved in the plot.

Voting began shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. That means it will be open to anyone with a Twitter account (one vote apiece) until 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.

A recent Morning Consult/Hollywood Reporter survey found that only 25 percent of the population said the film is a Christmas movie, while 62 percent disagreed. The survey, conducted Nov. 15-18 among 2,200 U.S. adults, also revealed America's favorite Christmas movies.
