Worth Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Palos Heights
The 73-year-old man is due to appear in bond court on Saturday, Palos Heights police said.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A Worth man has been accused of sexually abusing a young child in Palos Heights. Louis Maniatis, 73, is facing two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child under 13. Maniatis has a bond hearing Saturday at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building.
The arrest is the result of a month-long investigation that involved several interviews with the child by investigators, said Deputy Chief Bill Czajkowski, of the Palos Heights Police Department. The child told adults of the alleged abuse in late November, which triggered the investigation.
Maniatis gave a full statement to police and admitted to fondling the child, the deputy chief said. He was taken into custody on Friday.
