Dollar Store Robbed At Gunpoint In Burbank
Burbank police said the man brought some items to the cashier, then pulled a gun out of his waistband.

BURBANK, IL — An armed man robbed a dollar store in Burbank on Saturday afternoon, police said. No injuries were reported.
Around 1:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to Family Dollar, 6010 W. 87th St., Burbank, for an apparent armed robbery. Employees told police that a black male in his late teens or early twenties entered the store. He presented some miscellaneous items to the cashier. The man reached into his waistband and brandished a silver and black handgun, police said. Employees said the purported robber threatened them with the gun, so they handed over an unknown amount of cash.
The man was last seen fleeing eastbound on 87th Street. Police searched the area but couldn’t find him. It’s not known if a vehicle was involved.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 5-feet-8-inches, approximately 130 to 140 pounds, and 18 to 21 years old. He was wearing a back and red baseball cap, black jacket and black pants.
Investigators are currently reviewing store surveillance video. Police are asking residents and businesses in the area to check their security cameras and share any additional footage. Anyone with information about the robbery or has security footage is asked to call the Burbank Police Department at 708-924-7300.
