Group Shot At By Passing Mercedes In Strip Mall
A group of people were standing in the parking lot of an Oak Lawn strip when someone in a passing Mercedes-Benz shot at them, police said.

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn police are asking for the public’s help in solving an aggravated discharge of a firearm that happened in a strip mall on Saturday night. A tan or silver Mercedes Benz was seen fleeing the scene.
Police said that a group of people were standing by an insurance office in the parking lot of the strip mall located on the southeast corner of 103rd Street and Central Avenue around 10:05 p.m. June 27. As a vehicle passed by strip mall and several shots were fired from the rear passenger side at the group standing in the parking lot.
The vehicle, described as an early 2000s Mercedes Benz E class sedan with dark tinted windows was captured on video heading north on Central Avenue. No one was injured. Police said they have no information indicating this was gang related.
