Send Summer Out With A Bang With Free Labor Day Concert And Fireworks
South Side native Rich Daniels and his City Lights Orchestra will play a free concert at 50-Acre Park followed by fireworks Monday, Sept. 5.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — South Side native Rich Daniels brings his renowned, 32-piece City Lights Orchestra end-of-summer concert and fireworks on Sept. 5, which happens to be Labor Day. The event is hosted by the Evergreen Park Recreation Department.
The concert starts at 5 p.m. at 50-Acre Park, 91st and Rockwell, Evergreen Park. Fireworks follow immediately at dusk. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
City Lights Orchestra plays classic standards from George Gershwin and Woody Herman, Glen Miller and Benny Goodman, as well as tunes from Hollywood film scores and Broadway shows. In addition to corporate gigs and charity galas, CLO has also backed up singers Ray Charles, Mel Torme, Michael Bolton and Dionne Warwick and comedians Jay Leno and Rich Little.
