Shred Old Documents, Recycle Electronics This Saturday At EPCHS
Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Kelly Burke will host a shredding and electronics recycling event on June 15 at Evergreen Park High School.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Shred your old documents and recycle your electronics this Saturday, June 15, at Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park. Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Kelly Burke, along with ComEd, are hosting a shredding and electronics recycling event from 9 to 11 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to protect themselves from identity theft by bringing their old tax returns, pay stubs, bills, receipts and credit card applications for safe destruction. Documents will be shredded on site.
In addition, residents can also bring their electronics and electronic devices for recycling. The following items will be accepted:

- Computers
- Copiers
- DVD players
- Scanners
- Fax machines
- Keyboards
- LCD monitors
- Microwaves
- iPods
- Printers
- Flat screen TVS
- Projectors
- Stereos
- VCRs
- Video game consoles
CRT monitors and old tube TVs will be accepted for a $20 fee. Sorry, but NO projection TVs, light bulbs, loose batteries, liquids or hazardous waste will be accepted.
Residents will be limited to TWO boxes per car of documents. No boxes can be left at the event. Document shredding is open to residents only. For more information, contact Alan at 773-575-1726.
