Sophomore At EPCHS Becomes A Published Author

Louise Brady's poem was selected for the 2023 Rising Stars Collection as part of the Appelley Poetry Contest.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Evergreen Park Community High School is proud to recognize Louise Brady, a sophomore student who has become a published author. Brady submitted her poem, titled "Mountains of Molehills," to the Appelley Poetry contest. The work was selected for the 2023 Rising Stars Collection and published over the summer.

"Louise's writing talent was apparent from very early in our English 1 Honors course," EPCHS Director of Curriculum Megan Schillo said. "That talent was further validated in our Creative Writing Club as Lousie began sharing her work."

Schillo added that Brady's writing has "a unique perspective and distinct voice."
