Southeast School Seeks Funds For Memorial To Honor Alan Reyes
Southeast Elementary School is seeking donations to install a bench to honor memory of sixth grade student who passed away in February.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Faculty and staff at Southeast Elementary School in Evergreen Park are raising money to install a memorial bench in honor of Alan Reyes-Landeweer, who passed away at age 12 during the winter. School officials want to dedicate the bench in September, the month of Alan’s birthday.
Alan attended Southeast for many years before moving on to Central Middle School. His younger brother is currently a student at the school. Alan was a proud member of the middle school band and was looking forward to an upcoming band concert. His death shattered his school community.
School officials are looking for monetary donations. The bench also needs a concrete slab to anchor it. Checks may be made payable to Southeast Elementary School; please include “Alan’s Bench” in the memo area. Send donations to the attention of Mary Beth Willians, Southeast Elementary School, 9800 S. Francisco Ave., Evergreen Park, 60805-2328.
