Southwest Bulldog Boosters Fall Fest Offers A Fun Evening Out

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Southwest Bulldog Boosters will kick off their fifth annual fall fest this Friday, Nov. 9, from 7 to 11 p.m. If you’re looking for something to do that evening, $30 at the door gets you food, pop, beer and wine and live entertainment by acoustic party band The Ponyboys, plus the companionship of your neighbors. The fall fest will be held at the Evergreen Park American Legion Hall, 9701 S. Kedzie Ave.

This is the Southwest Bulldog Boosters' biggest fundraiser of the year. The Boosters are an organization comprised of teachers, parents and community members to help promote the welfare of the students attending Southwest Elementary School, one of the District 124’s five grammar schools located in Evergreen Park. The Boosters also assist in projects through volunteering and financing.

This year, the Boosters are focused on enhancing the outdoor space for students. The Boosters are looking to add playground markings on to the school’s black through a company called EduMarking. This will transform the black top with educational games and provide fun recess activities.

There will be a variety of silent auction items to bid on. Only 300 tickets will be sold for the big raffle with a grand prize of $1,000, and $250 and $100 second and third prizes. Tickets are $25 and winners need not be present to win.

And as we know on the South Side, it’s never too late to donate a raffle or silent auction prize. Donations are tax-deductible. Some items the Southwest Bulldog Boosters could use include:
