EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Southwest Elementary School held its annual winter concert on Dec. 15, and from what we hear the students moved the gymnasium to tears with their show-stopping finale.

The concert featured students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The fourth and fifth grade chorus performed the program’s title song, “Melton the Warm-Hearted Snowman.” The students sang about a dozen songs but the audience favorite was “It’s About Love” which brought down the house.

D124 music teacher Samantha Eberhardt conducted the concert, with Southwest Principal Patti Bogdan introducing the various grades.
