Both teams did all their scoring early as Evergreen Park edged Tinley Park 4-3 in the Mustangs' baseball regular-season finale.
It was like a race. Both teams scored early. Boom! Evergreen Park put up four runs and went on to beat rival Tinley Park in the Mustangs' final baseball game before regional play.
After Evergreen Park scored in the top of the first to get things started, pitcher Jesse McLain surrendered a leadoff home run to second baseman Andrew Sebastian, which evened the score 1-1.
After drawing a leadoff walk in the second, Kyle Bock scored on a double by Bobby McAvoy. McAvoy later scored on an RBI double from Dillon Knight. The Titans responded with another run in the bottom of the inning. Each team scored a run in the third, which brought the Mustangs' lead to 4-3.

From there, it was all pitching. McLain held the Titans scoreless and only gave up one hit, while Tinley Park relief pitcher Dylan Osterman struck out three and pitched a scoreless 4.2 innings to finish the game.
The Mustangs were led by McAvoy (2-for-3, double, 2RBIs) and Bock (1-for-2, walk), while Sebastian (1-for-3, homer, RBI) and Nelz Ursich (2-for-3, run) led Tinley Park.
