St. Laurence High School Holds Spring Open House

BURBANK, IL -- St. Laurence High School in Burbank invites prospective families to its Spring Open House on Sunday, April 22 from 10 am to noon. Now a coed school, St. Laurence welcomes families of both male and female students to attend the Open Houses. St. Laurence was voted the “Best Private School” by readers of the Daily Southtown for the third consecutive year.

Open Houses are an opportunity for families to learn about everything St. Laurence has to offer, including the school’s nationally recognized STEM curriculum, countless leadership opportunities, successful athletic programs, diverse extracurricular offerings and much more. Attendees will be able to tour the school, meeting St. Laurence’s welcoming students, faculty and current families while receiving answers to any questions about the school.

Among recent notable achievements, St. Laurence became the first school in Illinois to receive AdvancED’s STEM certification in early 2017, recognizing the school for training students as innovative, creative and systematic problem solvers across disciplines. The new STEM curriculum has contributed to increased ACT scores and the highest number of Illinois State Scholars in years.

To go with the top-flight, 21st century STEM education and championship-level athletics, St. Laurence receives 100-percent participation in extracurricular activities from its students. Students also receive added value through career explorer programs in medicine, entrepreneurship and computer engineering, a free 10-week ACT prep course and dual enrollment opportunities. Additionally, the school has emerged as the area’s leadership hub, providing an immersive leadership curriculum and countless opportunities for students to head organizations, attend conferences and grow as leaders.
