Students Take the Lead at Evergreen Park HS Board Meeting
Prior to the meeting, students attended a workshop to determine their roles and learn the Board meeting process.

At its February business meeting, the EPCHS Board of Education held its annual Student Leadership Board Meeting. Prior to the meeting, students attended a workshop to learn the Board meeting process and determine their roles in the meeting. At the meeting, student participants acted out their roles as Board Members and Administrators by reviewing materials, making recommendations and voting on new business topics.
Students as Board Members included: Kayla Benson as Board President, Nolan Brennan as Board Vice-President, Neema Griffin as Board Secretary, and Nyah Tsai, Amari Brown, Haley Ortell, and Kristopher Symanski as Board Members. Student as Administrators were: Hannah Rahm as Superintendent and Regina Gonzalez as Principal. Kassandra Martinez and Evelina Rudzinskas are Student Ambassadors and attend all Board meetings.
Superintendent O'Malley said, "It was a great evening as we watched our future leaders provide us with many examples of their skill and expertise. Congratulations and thank you to all participants."
