SXU Taps Evergreen Park Resident for University Advancement Position
Erin Mueller will serve as executive director ofcorporate, government and foundation relations for Saint Xavier University.

CHICAGO, IL -- Evergreen Park resident Erin M. Mueller, M.A., has been tapped to serve as Saint Xavier University’s executive director for corporate, government and foundation relations in University Advancement department. Mueller will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundation, government and corporate funding on behalf of SXU. She’ll work closely with SXU deans and faculty to identify potential projects and funding sources.
Mueller brings over 14 years of experience working in both an academic and foundation environment. She is an experienced administrator, holding several positions at the University of Chicago regulator affairs manager in the Cancer Clinical Trials Office She began her career at The University of Chicago as a regulatory affairs manager in the Cancer Clinical Trials Office where she coordinated regulatory activity on clinical research studies for the Hematology/Oncology department. Mueller secured an administrator of regulatory compliance position in the University’s Division of Biological Sciences after a year in her previous post. Later, she advanced to clinical trials/contracts manager for University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine where she managed at $5 million budget.for an investigator-initiated clinical trial with over 25 international and U.S. sub-sites.
Mueller joined The Alliance for Clinical Trials in the Oncology Foundation as the director of agreements and contracts where she continually sought out new revenue sources, and led a team of contract managers responsible for securing $24 million in awarded funds. During her time at Alliance, the Alliance increased non-federal grant revenue from $250K to $10 million by successfully securing grant funding from the highly-competitive Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).

Mueller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in history from Marquette University.
