Take A Stroll Through 'The Jazz Alphabet' At The EP Library

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Chicago author, illustrator and jazz enthusiast Neil Shapiro will talk about his new book "The Jazz Alphabet," this Friday, Nov. 8, at the Evergreen Park Public Library. Enjoy jazz music, wine and cheese while taking a visual journey through Chicago’s club scene. The presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. This is a 21 and older event.
Shapiro calls his book a “work of love” and ode to the greats. “The Jazz Alphabet” is a person celebration of 26 jazz greats in pictures and words. From Louis Armstrong to Joe Zawinul, take a stroll among well known jazz artists and some that aren’t as well known.
Copies of the book, which comes with a soundtrack, will for sale and signing. Registration is required. The Evergreen Park Public Library is located at 9400 S. Troy Ave.
