Teens Beat Up Boy, Steal His Nike Air Force 1 Gym Shoes: Cops
Juvenile held pellet gun on boy as he was kicked and punched by two 18-year-olds who stole his expensive gym shoes, police said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- A pair of Evergreen Park teens and a juvenile are accused of beating up another boy and stealing his gym shoes. Calvin Lordo and James Devlin, 18, appeared in court before Cook County Judge Donald Havis on charges of aggravated robbery. The two appeared Wednesday in court for a status hearing.
The three youths confronted the boy in the 9600 block of South Francisco around 4 p.m. March 2, police said. Lordo and Devlin allegedly shoved the boy to the ground where they kicked and punched him. Police said the juvenile acquaintance pointed a pellet gun at the boy, who thought the gun was real. The teens allegedly took the boy’s Nike Air Force 1 gym shoes. The prosecutor said during the teens’ hearing that police found the pellet gun in their car.
Lordo is free on $20,000 bail. Devlin is in being held in Cook County Jail. The assistant public defender said that Devlin is a junior at Evergreen Park Community High School. He told the judge that Devlin’s family cannot afford to bond him out. He asked for a reduction in bond so Devlin could go to school.
