TJ Maxx Holds Hiring Event for New Evergreen Park Store
TJ Maxx representatives are interviewing candidates for new Evergreen Park store, Aug. 28 and Aug. 29.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- TJ Maxx is hosting a hiring event Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 28 and Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to staff the company’s new store at the rebooted Evergreen Plaza. Company representatives will be interviewing prospective employees in the lower level dining room at the Evergreen Park Senior Center, 9547 S. Homan Ave.
Approximately 60 full and part time positions are available. The store will be hiring assistant managers, store associations, customer service coordinators and merchandise coordinators. According to TJ Max’s website, employes are expected to “exceed the expectations of our customers, every day. We strive to deliver exceptional value in an atmosphere that’s friendly and fun.”
Glassdoor.com states that the average hourly wages for sales associates/cashiers are $8.99; retail associates $9.11; merchandise associates $8.97; and merchandise/sales associates $8.93.

The minimum work age is 16. A high school/GED is required, except for in-school youth. TJ Maxx also offers optional participation in medical, dental, life insurances, short term disability, vision discount program and 401(k) profit sharing plan.
