US Bank Robbed In Evergreen Park
A "repeat offender" is suspected of robbing the US Bank at 95th and Francisco Wednesday afternoon.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The FBI responded to a bank robbery in Evergreen Park Wednesday afternoon. The US Bank, located at 2917 W. 95th St., was robbed at 12:28 p.m. according to Garrett Croon, FBI Chicago media coordinator.
Evergreen Park police and federal vehicles remained present at 95th and Francisco Avenue at 2 p.m. The ATM was open to the public at the time.
Croon says the suspect is a black man who was wearing a suit at the time of the robbery. He is a repeat offender, according to Croon.

A series of bank robberies in the area are believed to have been committed by the same person in recent weeks. The FBI says the suspect in a TCF Bank robbery in nearby Oak Lawn is the same manwho robbed a bank in Alsip and on the South Side of Chicago earlier this summer.
The Wednesday robbery in Evergreen Park was a non-takeover in nature, Croon said.
