Village of Evergreen Park Plans Big Weekend of Entertainment, Aug. 17, Aug. 18 and Aug. 20
The Village of Evergreen Park will host a movie and two concerts in Klein (Circle) Park on Aug. 17, Aug. 18 and Aug. 20. All events are free

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Klein (Circle) Park is the place to be this weekend in Evergreen Park. The village is hosting two outdoor concerts and a movie, starting with the Neverly Brothers on Thursday, Aug. 17. The concert is a rain date from a cancellation due to rain last month.
The Neverly Brothers play a one-of-a-kind high energy show that takes audiences on a musical guided tour of rock history from 1955-1965. The first half of their concert pays tribute to the American Rock n' Roll pioneers in the 1950's. The second half pays tribute to the bands from the British Invasion through 1965, including those four lovable mop tops from Liverpool. The concert starts at 6 p.m.
On Friday, August 18, Movie in the Park features the classic 1973 film American Graffiti. This ode to the early 1960s follows a night in the life of four friends on a summer night in Modesto, California, a time of drag races, diners and rock ‘n roll. This pre-Star Wars George Lucas directorial effort features a ton of starts before they became big in television and movies, including Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Cindy Williams, Harrison Ford, Mackenzie Phillips, and Suzanne Somers as the mysterious blond in the T-Bird convertible. The movie starts at 8 p.m.

This is the final concert of the summer and it’s always a big one. The concert starts at 6 p.m.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and maybe some plastic to sit on and enjoy some of the last glorious nights of summer in the park with free music and film. Don’t forget the mosquito repellent. Klein (Circle) Park is located at 97th Street and Homan Avenue in Evergreen Park.
