Watch 'The Wizard of Oz' Under the Stars in Klein (Circle) Park, July 21

Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Klein (Circle) Park this Friday, July 21, for a showing of the classic 1939 film, weather permitting.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Village of Evergreen Park will beam the classic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen under the stars this Friday, July 21. The movie starts at 8:30 a.m. in Klein (Circle) Park at 97th Street and Homan Avenue.

If you’ve never seen “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen -- here’s your chance. This is a “weather-permitting” event. Early weather forecasts aren’t too promising for Friday night, but let’s do a Munchkin “rain, rain, go away” dance. If rained out, the movie will scheduled for another day. Keep your eyes peeled on the Evergreen Park Recreation Department's Facebook page if the weather looks dicey.

So gather your kiddos, some snacks and blankets, and follow the Yellow Brick Road to Klein (Circle) Park this Friday. Don’t forget the mosquito repellent.
