EP Girls Softball Team And 2025 World Series Runner Ups To Lead Independence Day Parade
The Evergreen Park 14 Girls Softball Team to lead Independence Day Parade Friday, June 26 with fireworks to follow at Duffy Park.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL—The Evergreen Park Girls Softball 2025 14U Illinois State Champs, Regional Champs and World Series Runner-Ups will be the Grand Marshals of Evergreen Park’s 56th Independence Day Parade. Festivities take on a special meaning this year for America’s 250th birthday.
Known for holding its parade a few days before the actual Fourth of July holiday, Evergreen Park's patriotic promenade has gained a reputation as one of the finest in the south suburbs. The parade has been held a few days before the fourth since 1968, except for those years when July 4 had fallen on a Sunday or Monday.
Evergreen Park Community High School’s marching band and color guard, cheerleaders and football players, the Evergreen Park Stallions, businesses, churches, scout troops, youth sports, families and a cavalcade of elected officials will be promenading down 95th Street. To give the parade a hometown flair, veterans and their families are invited to walk in the parade.
