Liquor Store Burglary, Felony Retail Theft: Police Blotter

Burglary at USA Beverage
A man used a piece of concrete to smash a window around 6 a.m. at USA Beverage, 7200 Madison St. and steal a bottle of Hennessy. A witness told police she saw a man grab something from the window and run west through the alley behind the store, police said. Police did not find anyone in the area.Battery, Property Defacement
Police charged Kenneth Crump, 26, of Forest Park with battery and criminal defacement of property around 1:15 a.m. at Shortstop Lounge.One of the bartenders told police Crump was asked to leave after he started yelling at other patrons, telling them he was going to batter them.
When in custody, police said Crump yelled at police and urinated on the detention cell floor and door. He was given a criminal trespass notice from the bar, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, one for battery, one for defacement of property and a July 23 court date.
Felony Retail Theft
Police charged Vincent Ross, 53, of Chicago with felony retail theft around 6:20 p.m. after he stole electric hair clippers at CVS, 7216 Circle Ave. in Forest Park, police said. Ross, currently on parole, was processed and given a June 6 court date.Car Stolen
Someone stole a blue 1999 Mercury Sable between 4 and 6:45 p.m. from the Wal-Mart parking lot.Liquor Stolen
Police charged Calvin Singleton, 32, of Berwyn with retail theft after he stole six 50ml bottles of whiskey from Cardinal Liquors around 8 p.m. He was given an ordinance citation and released at the scene. His court date is pending.Solicitation
Police issued village ordinance vilation citations to Charles and Kimberly Thomas, 27 and 25, of Custer Park for soliciting in the roadway around 2:20 p.m. at Harlem Avenue and the I-290 ramp. They were released at the scene.Loud Music
Police cited Alfredo Segarra, 20, of Brookfield for playing music too loud around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Roosevelt Road. He was released at the scene.Suspended License
Police charged Frederick Mabry, 30, of Park Forest with two counts of driving on a suspended or revoked license, driving without insurance and speeding around 5 a.m. in the 1000 block of Harlem Avenue.He was given a felony charge for aggravated driving while license suspended because of an active summary suspension and two prior convictions for driving on a suspended license.
Police stopped Mabry for driving 69 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was held at the station and given a June 6 court date.
