120g of Pot in Dog Bag, Gun, Ammo Found in Car: Drug Dealing Arrests in Forest Park

Forest Park police arrest alleged drug dealers, July 25 and 28.

120 Grams of Pot Hidden in Dog Bag

Police charged John Friedrich, 24, of Berwyn with marijuana possession, failure to signal and delivery or intent to deliver after finding a quarter pound of pot in his car and reading several text messages about drug deals he was planning and had completed.

During a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Beloit Avenue around 12:15 a.m., police found a bag of pot in Friedrich's pocket and a quarter pound of pot hidden in a Pedigree dog bag in the trunk. Police said Friedrich had several text messages on his phone from people asking to buy marijuana and Xanax. Police said the dog bag contained about 120 grams of marijuana. 

He was processed, given an Aug. 22 court date and held on bond. 

THURSDAY, JULY 25

63 Grams of Pot, Gun, Ammunition Found in Car

Randall Dodson, 33, of Maywood was arrested for illegal weapon use, drug dealing and a few traffic violations around 11:15 a.m.

During a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison Street and Jackson Boulevard, Dodson told police he had some weed and a pistol in his car. He also told police the marijuana was for personal use and the gun belonged to his uncle. 

Police said Dodson had about 63 grams of marijuana, scales and cigarette rollers, a .357 caliber revolver and four live rounds of ammunition in his car. 

Dodson was charged with felony armed violence, marijuana possession with intent to deliver, driving on a suspended license, illegal weapon use and weapon possession with no FOID card. He was processed, given an Aug. 1 court date and held on bond.
