AK-47-Type Gun Fired Near Cemetery
Forest Park police found shell casings in Forest Home Cemetery but couldn't locate the guns.

Multiple residents reported guns being fired near Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park last week, but the guns weren't located after police responded.
According to a Forest Park police report, officers were called to the area near Forest Home Cemetary on Thursday, Feb. 21, in reference to shots being fired.
Multiple callers said they heard more than 10 shots fired, and multiple cars were seen fleeing the area westbound toward First Avenue, according to police.

Police said they found several shell casings next to a grave in the "Guadalupe" section of the cemetery, which is behind the 1000 block of Des Plaines Avenue.
According to the report, the gun fired was most likely an AK-47-type weapon.

Two cars were stopped in the immediate area, and the main entrances and exits were also monitored, but no weapons were found.
