• Sluggish Blue Line commutes frustrate riders. Faster trips could be coming — but slowly. (chicagotribune.com) — Forest Park riders on the CTA Blue Line are facing significantly slower commutes because more than 84% of the Forest Park branch is now in slow zones, and a full rebuild may not be finished until around 2040. Local leaders, including Forest Park's mayor, are pressing for faster, safer service as CTA and state agencies hunt for billions in funding and try to coordinate with a major Eisenhower Expressway overhaul.
