• Property values, sale prices up in Forest Park, Proviso Township (forestparkreview.com) — Forest Park homeowners are seeing higher assessed property values this year, which could mean larger tax bills, and they have until Oct. 27 to file free appeals with the Cook County Board of Review. New data show significant jumps in median sale prices and assessed values for single-family, multi-family homes and condos in Forest Park and nearby Proviso Township communities.
   

• O'Hare Flyer gets earful from Adduci and Welch (oakpark.com) — A proposed O'Hare Flyer express train is drawing strong opposition in nearby River Forest, and Forest Park is directly in the project's path where the line crosses 1st Avenue. Local and state leaders, including Speaker Chris Welch, say multiple suburbs share concerns about safety, traffic, noise and property values, and they're weighing legal and political options while urging residents in Forest Park and beyond to speak out.
