Someone stole tools and a Dura sound system from a basement storage unit in the 900 block of Marengo Avenue between 1 and 11:10 a.m.SATURDAY, JUNE 8
Electronics Stolen From Open Car
Someone got into a car in the 200 block of Elgin Avenue through an open window and stole a Swiss Army backpack, an HP laptop and an external hard drive between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m.THURSDAY, JUNE 6
Battery
Police charged George Fox, 35, of Bellwood with battery around 3:30 p.m. at CVS, 7216 Circle Ave.A store employee told police he saw Fox put four 5-Hour Energy drinks in his pockets. When he tried to stop him as he left the store, the employee told police Fox pushed away from the employee and hit him in the chest with his forearm, police said.
Fox was processed on one count of battery, given a July 9 court date and held for bond hearings.
Shampoo Theft
Police issued a local ordinance citation to Quentin Livous, 34, of Chicago for stealing two bottles of shampoo from CVS, 7216 Circle Ave., around 2:40 p.m. He was released from the scene.TUESDAY, JUNE 4
Theft at Wal-Mart
Police charged Romane Williams, 29, of Broadview with retail theft around 1:30 p.m. at Wal-Mart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave. A store employee told police they saw Williams put three 12-packs of Red Bull, worth a total of about $54, into a backpack, leave without paying and get into a white Chevy, police said. Police stopped the Chevy in the 8200 block of Roosevelt Road and arrested Williams.
