Bike Thief Leaves Scooter; Police Tell 3 to Turn Down Music

MONDAY, APRIL 22
Loud Noises!
Police issued local ordinance citations to three men Monday afternoon for having music that was played too loudly.
Residential Burglary
A man reported that his apartment in the 7400 block of Madison Street was burglarized while he was at dinner. He returned at 10 p.m. and noticed a Gateway laptop an iPad were missing, and the unit's front door was pried open. Other items reported missing include jewelry, a $1,500 Chanel purse, a $4,000 Furla purse, shoes and more.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20
Windshield Smashed
Someone smashed the windshield of a car with a chunk of concrete. A woman told police she parked her car in the north CTA lot at 711 Des Plaines Ave. at about 3 a.m., and when she came back at 6:30 a.m. she found the property damaged.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17
Bike Thief Leaves Scooter
Someone stole a women's bike from a garage in the 7700 block of Monroe, but left behind a Razor scooter. The bike is a royal blue Raleigh 10-speed valued at about $250.
