Blue Max Coffee to Host Coffee Roasting and “Latte Art” Demonstrations on March 6

Blue Max Coffee is hosting Coffee Roasting and "Latte Art" demonstrations on Wednesday, March 6 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Blue Max Coffee, a popular restaurant and coffee roaster located in Forest Park, announces it will host Coffee Roasting and “Latte Art” demonstrations on Wednesday, March 6 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Guests will observe head roaster Gerard Dever as he demonstrates how to roast coffee beans on the in-house Probat Roaster at Blue Max. He will walk guests through the step-by-step process and note the various senses used during roasting, such as sound, smell and visual cues. Following that will be “Barista” demos of how to make espresso and latte drinks, including how to create “Latte Art,” which is the beautiful designs that top lattes.

The cost is $20 per person and guests will take home a pound of artisan coffee roasted that evening. Space is limited, please email Terry Griffin at terry@bluemax.me to reserve a spot.

“This is a special opportunity for our customers to come in and learn more about coffee, how it’s roasted and how we make the drinks,” said Terry Griffin, owner of Blue Max Coffee. “It’s a fun chance to get together with friends and learn something new. This is our passion, and we want to share it with others who love coffee. We also recently upgraded our beans and will be discussing our new specialty roasts as well.” 

Famous for its in-house roasted artisan coffee, Blue Max follows the world harvest and maintains a full selection of new-crop beans. Blue Max recently upgraded its roasts and is offering two premium specialty roasts each month.

Blue Max Coffee is located at 26 Lathrop Ave. in Forest Park. It is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
