Chicago Resident Wins $250,000 Illinois Lottery Prize
The father plans to share the money with his son and pay bills.

A lifetime Chicago resident used a quarter to scratch the Illinois Lottery 25X The Cash instant ticket that won him $250,000.
“I can’t believe I won a quarter of a million dollars! It’s certainly a dream come true,” Leon Pawlykowycz, 64, said.
Pawlykowycz plans to share the money with his 27-year-old son and use it to pay bills, according to the Illinois Lottery.

He bought the winning ticket from 7-Eleven at 29 East Madison St., Chicago. The store received a $2,500 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
