FBI Accuses Man of Seeking Sex with Teen
Innocent Images Task Force ensnares Martin N. Pazdzuira, a registered sex offender, in a Friday sting operation. He's now charged with a felony that could land him 10 years to life in prison.

The FBI's Innocent Images Task Force arrested a Chicago-area man in Forest Park recently who they say was trying to rendezvous with underage girls for sex.
Martin N. Pazdzuira, 45, of 18525 Stony Island in south suburban Lansing, was arrested in Forest Park late Friday afternoon by special agents and officers assigned to the Chicago FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force (IITF), according to a FBI statement released Tuesday.
Pazdzuira—who e-mailed photos of his genitals and a red rose to an undercover cop—came to the attention of investigators based on a tip from a police officer who was a friend to Pazdzuira's deceased mother, according to the FBI.

The officer, while visiting the Pazdzuira home, noticed what appeared to be photographs of underage girls on the man's cell phone, according to the criminal complaint filed in federal court.
Pazdzuira, who is a registered sex offender, then told the officer that he had met girls 16, 17 and 18 years of age through a website and took the train to Chicago to have sex with them.

Pazdzuira was charged in a criminal complaint filed on Friday in U.S. District Court in Chicago with one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, which is a felony offense.
Pazdzuira's screen name on the site was “redone2150,” according to investigators. A series of chat messages began Aug. 10 between Pazdzuira and a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl named "Emily" but who was actually an officer from the Cook County Sheriff’s Department assigned to the IITF.
Pazdzuira—who represented himself as a 16-year-old boy named "Marty"—and the girl were to meet Friday afternoon in Forest Park and then travel together to a hotel in Indiana for sex, according to the FBI. IITF agents and officers from the Cook County Sheriff's Department took Pazdzuira into custody near the planned Forest Park rendezvous spot.
Pazdzuira appeared Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sidney I. Schenkier in Chicago, at which time he was formally charged. He is being held without bail and is schedule to return to court Aug. 31.
He was convicted in two previous sex-related cases: aggravated criminal sexual abuse in 1995 and possession of child pornography in 2005.
If convicted on the new charges, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ incarceration to a maximum of life in prison.
Anyone recognizing him and having any information that might be relevant to this investigation is asked to call the Chicago FBI at 312-421-6700.
