Violation of an Order of Protection
Roosevelt Bell, 56, of Chicago was charged with violation of an order of protection and criminal trespass to residence, police said. He was picked up in the 900 block of Troost Street.

Driving under the Influence
Martiniano J. Velasquez, 49, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop near 16th Street on Harlem Avenue, police said. An officer on patrol said he spotted a car driving south on Harlem from 13th Street that was weaving in and out of traffic. Velasquez refused to take field sobriety and breath tests, police said. Velasquez also was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked registration, driving an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage, police said.

Warrant Arrest
Anna Warren, 37, of Maywood was arrested on a warrant for parole violation from the Illinois Department of Corrections, police said. She was apprehended in the lot of the Proviso Math and Science Academy, 8601 W. Roosevelt Rd., where she and a man were parked. The driver of the car, Dewayne C. Graham, 40, of Broadview, was cited for disorderly conduct for offensive act or gesture and warned to stay away from the school, police said.
THURSDAY, AUG. 23
Felony Theft
Corey S. Fonville, 22, of Berwyn was charged with felony theft for taking a bicycle from a home in the 1000 block of Dunlop Avenue, police said. The item was located on the southeast corner of Dunlop and Polk Street where it was positively identified by the owner. At the station two bond slips were found in his pocket, indicating he had just been released from Cook County Jail the previous day for two violations of probation cases, police said.
Felony Retail Theft
Alexis Vera, 31, of North Riverside was charged with felony retail theft when she walked around KMart placing items valued at $142.28 into her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying for them, police said.
TUESDAY, AUG. 21
Retail Theft
Sandra J. Hunter, 47, of Memphis, TN was charged with retail theft after she concealed in her purse two bags of chicken wings, a bottle of salad dressing and a bottle of nail polish, valued at $17.76, and attempted to leave CVS Pharmacy, 7216 Circle Ave., police said.
MONDAY, AUG. 20
Village Ordinance Violation
Gilbert Bush, 20, of Olympia Fields was cited for underage inside a bar after he was spotted inside Pioneer Tap, 7445 Randolph St., and then fled the scene, police said. Police said Bush ran out the rear door when police entered the establishment, ducked into a yard and then began jumping fences near the bar. He later was apprehended in the yard of a home in 100 block of DesPlaines Avenue, police said.
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Michelle McGlory, 48, of Forest Park was charged with possession of a controlled substance when four baggies of suspect heroin was found in her possession after a traffic stop in the area of Thomas Avenue and Harvard Street, police said. A search by another officer revealed a straw with white powdery substance inside concealed inside her bra and two packets of Suboxone in a change purse she was carrying, police said. All total, 2.5 grams of suspect heroin were found. An officer pulled her over for running a stop sign on a school day on Harvard near Circle Avenue, near Forest Park Middle School, police said.
Retail Theft
Jose Lopez, 29, of Forest Park was charged with retail theft after police said he attempted to take shoes and games, valued at $63.88, from WalMart, 1300 DesPlaines Ave. The offense was filmed on the store's closed circuit television system, police said.
