Forest Park Police Begin Testing for Entry Level Officer Positions

Forest Park police will conduct exams to create an eligibility roster of qualified candidates for entry level officer positions.

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Forest Park will conduct an examination to establish an eligibility roster of qualified candidates for an entry level probationary police officer with the Forest Park Police Department, according to a department news release. 

The starting salary for an entry level officer is $53,589.92.

The selection process will consist of several tests, which will be explained at a mandatory orientation program at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the Lower Level Council Chambers of the Village of Forest Park 517 Desplaines Ave. Forest Park, IL 60130.

Applicants are required to have Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (P.O.W.E.R) Certification no older than one (1) year at the date of application. 

The Written Exam will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Oak Park River Forest High School.
