Drug-Related Arrests Abound in Forest Park: Blotter
Forest Park police reports, Feb. 4-9.

SATURDAY, FEB. 9
Obstruction of Identification
Josceline Rodriguez, 23, of Cicero, was cited under a local ordinance for obstruction of identification after an officer attempted to clear Shortstop Lounge, 7425 Madison St., which still had customers inside after closing hours, police said.
Possession of Cannabis, Drug Equipment
Justin P. Coleman, 32, of Forest Park, was cited under a local ordinance for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia when an officer, after pulling over his car in the 7400 block of Jackson Boulevard, smelled cannabis emanating from the vehicle, police said. Police found a plastic bag containing one gram of marijuana and a metal grinder with cannabis residue from Coleman's left jacket pocket.

Possession of Cannabis
Bryant D. Brownlow, 23, of Chicago, was cited under a local ordinance for possession of cannabis after an officer found 2 grams of the substance during a traffic stop, police said. Police pulled over his 2000 Buick in the 7500 block of Roosevelt Road for going the wrong way on a one-way street and smelled cannabis coming from the car. A clear plastic baggie containing the marijuana was recovered from Brownlow's cap, police said.

Cannabis Possession
Michael J. O'Neal, 29, of Maywood, was cited under a local ordinance for cannabis possession when 5 grams of marijuana were found in his possession following a traffic stop in the 1100 Circle Ave., police said. After pulling over his 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix for failing to signal a left turn, an officer smelled marijuana and saw it in a clear plastic bag. The officer recovered three more clear Ziploc bags of marijuana from O'Neal's right front pocket, police said.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6
No Taxi Cab License
Herbert A. Nelson, 38, of Dolton, was cited under a local ordinance for not having a taxi cab business license and not having a sealed or inspected meter in the vehicle, police said. An officer found the violations when he was conducting taxi checks at the Blue Line CTA station at 711 Des Plaines Ave.

Walmart Thefts
Ena Gonzalez, 27, of Forest Park, was charged with retail theft after she concealed $191.47 worth of cosmetics in her purse at Walmart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave., and attempted to leave the store, police said.
Darnisha L. Hill, 22, of Broadview was charged with felony retail theft after she concealed make-up and facial care items valued at $287.83 in a pink bag at Walmart and attempted to leave the store, police said. Police said Hill had been on probation for a retail theft conviction from last year.
Suspended License
Willie D. Weekly, 38, of University Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license after police pulled over his 2005 Jeep at Maple Street and Washington Boulevard in Oak Park for a warrant out of Calumet Park for driving on a suspended license, police said.
MONDAY, FEB. 4
Possession of Drug Equipment
Juan A. Perez, 27, of Chicago, was cited under a local ordinance for possession of a hypoderminc needle after an officer found one in his possession in the bathroom at Thorntons gas station, 601 Harlem Ave., police said. A cashier at the station store flagged down and advised an officer that a man, later identified as Perez, had been in the restroom for 30 minutes and asked the policeman to check on his welfare. The needle was later foundin the lining of Perez's jacket, police said.
Suspended License
Martin Landa, 29, of Cicero was charged with driving on a suspended license after an officer pulled him over in the area of Harlem Avenue and Roosevelt Road for not wearing a seat belt, police said. Landa also had an outstanding warrant out of Chicago for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
