Forest Park to Aid Residents with Property Tax Appeals
Program to bring in experts who can answer questions, help fill out forms.

Forest Park next month will be a one-stop shop for people who want to appeal their property tax bills.
The seminar will be at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 17 at the , 7640 Jackson Blvd.
Experts from the Proviso Township Assessor's Office and the Cook County Board of Review will be available to answer questions and help residents fill out forms that will be sent on to county agency for their consideration.

The township also continues to help residents fill out the paperwork that will be sent on to the County Board of Review when the filing period for township appeals opens, township officials said.That date has not yet been set.
Homeowners should bring along their propery tax bill and any other paperwork that would prove their payments should be lowered.

The township assessor's office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 4565 W. Harrison St. in Hillside. For more information, call the township office at 708-344-7430.
