Grand Opening, Ribbon Cutting for Stencib Today in Forest Park
Stencib Studio, bringing stenciling into the 21st century, will celebrate its grand opening in Forest Park Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Forest Park Chamber of Commerce will officially welcome Stencib Studio, one of Forest Park's newest businesses, to the village with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
Stencib Studio, which recently moved from 7015 North Ave. in Oak Park to 7503 Madison St. in Forest Park, is a business that's "dedicated to bringing stenciling into the 21st century," according to the store's Facebook page.
Stencib owner and Oak Parker Linda Cibula opened her business in Oak Park in the fall of 2012, with a patent-pending on her stenciling product, according to a Wednesday Journal feature.
"I've always loved the look of stenciling," Cibula writes in a message on the Stencib website. "However, after one particularly tedious stenciling project, it hit me: the traditional process of stenciling is much harder and more time-consuming than it needs to be. With that, the idea for Stencib was born."
Stencib allows anyone to easily stencil their home with a 15-foot, self-adhesive role with the repeating stencil design—cutting out the process of stenciling, then moving and lining up the piece on the wall.
The new location will open on Thursday with the ribbon cutting performed by Forest Park Mayor Anthony Calderone, according to a post on Stencib's page.
