Man Struck With Baseball Bat in Parking Dispute

An Elmwood Park couple attacks Lyons man for parking in a space they were reportedly saving, police say.

Krystal Ocegueda, 23 and Fabian Torres, 23, both of Elmwood Park were charged with aggravated battery Tuesday after they attacked a Lyons resident over a parking spot in the 200 block of North Marion Avenue.

Police said Ocegueda was trying to hold a parking space for her boyfriend around 11 a.m. when the man drove into the spot. An argument ensued and Ocegueda punched the man while Torres hit him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat, police said. The man was transported to Oak Park Hospital. Torres and Ocegueda were held for bond hearings.
