Man Tells Police He Has Prescription for Weed

Forest Park police reports, March 4-6.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6

Man Says He Has Weed Prescription

Isiah C. Cirton, 24, of Chicago, was ticketed under a village ordinance violation for possession of marijuana. Police said he was panhandling in the 400 block of Des Plaines Avenue, and when he was asked if he had anything illegal he replied, "Yeah I have some weed on me, but I have a prescription."

Police found four small bags containing 4 grams of marijuana inside his wallet, but no prescription was provided.

Suspended License

Aaron Rivers, 48, of Chicago, was ticketed for failure to yield, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license after police said he didn't stop for another car while turning left at Harlem and Roosevelt.

Car Broken Into

Someone smashed the driver's side window of a car in the Village Lot 5, 400 block of Circle, and the ignition key lock was broken off. Nothing was reported missing. 

MONDAY, MARCH 4

Car Burglary

Someone smashed the window of a car in the 1300 block of Marengo and stole a Garmin GPS system valued as $135, as well as several CDs.
