Man Threatens With Vodka Bottle, Tells Resident to Run to the Cemetery: Police Blotter

Sunday, June 9

Aggravated Assault

Allan Gill, 43, of Kenosha, WI, was charged with aggravated assault around 10:20 a.m. after he chased a man while swinging a bottle of vodka and threatening him, police said.

The man told police he saw Gill going through his garbage in the 800 block of Des Plaines Avenue. Gill told the man he was looking for cans and when the man told him to stop, Gill took a large glass bottle and said, “I’ll teach you a lesson. Run … to the cemetery,” and started swinging the bottle.

Gill was processed and given an Aug. 13 court date.

Saturday, June 8

Open Alcohol

Michael Ward, 23, of Elmhurst and Marcel Geanes, 23, of Chicago were arrested around 2 a.m. in the 7400 block of Madison Street for having open alcohol in a parked car.

Thursday, June 6

Loud Music

Mario Mallard, 26, of Countryside was arrested for playing loud music in his car around 3 p.m. in the 7400 block of Madison Street. He was given one citation and a July 3 court date.

Suspended License

Lamont Ellis, 59, of Chicago was arrested for driving on a suspended license and without insurance around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Jackson and Wisconsin avenues in Oak Park. He was given a July 23 court date and released after posting bond.
