MMSI Chicago Show

The MMSI Chicago Show is one of the top-level exhibitions of painted miniature figures in the country.  It draws painters and model makers from across the United States and around the world.  The realisticly sculpted and painted figures on diaplay range from under one inch to over 12 inches tall.  They represent all historical periods, ancient to modern, as well as science fiction and fantasy subjects.  The competition is at several levels from amature hobbiest to professional artist.  The figures may be painted from commercially available kits, conversions, or sculpted from scratch.  The show also features an auction of finely painted miniatures and seminars on various topics.  There is a vendor area with dealers from around the country offering figures, kits, and modeling supplies.
