Motorcycle Chase Leads to Felony Eluding Charge

Police charged Matthew Miller, 30, of Berwyn with fleeing or attempting to elude police after a chase near Harlem Avenue and Roosevelt Road around 9:30 a.m.

Police said an officer saw Miller going about 69 mph in a 30 mph zone on a motorcycle and started following him on Roosevelt Road. The officer followed Miller, who turned on 15th Street, ran a stop sign and turned again onto Wisconsin Avenue, police said. 

He was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, felony eluding, traffic violations and driving without insurance, police said. He was processed, given a July 5 court date and held for bond hearings.

DUI

Police charged Antwon McCoy, 24, of Forest Park with driving under the influence of alcohol around 4 a.m. in the 700 block of Des Plaines Avenue. Police said McCoy, who told officers he'd had two Patron drinks three hours beforehand, had a blood alcohol content of .10. He was also given citations for disobeying a traffic signal, not wearing a seatbelt, driving without insurance and failure to signal, police said. He was processed and released after posting bond.

Marijuana

Police issued local ordinance citations to Kevin Boblick, 26, of Oak Park for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia around 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Harlem Avenue. During a traffic stop for a bad headlamp, police found about two grams of marijuana and a glass pipe, police said. He was released at the scene.
