Opportunity Knocks Barbecue Block Party

Saturday June 14th is the annual Opportunity Knocks "Barbecue Block Party" on the 400 block of Elgin in Forest Park (corner of Madison & Elgin) from 2:00pm-10:00pm. 

$10 suggested donation plus $1 per food and beverage ticket for local eats and craft beer provided by Piggyback, Fatduck, Skrine Chops, Big Guys, Lagunitas, and more. Kids under 8 get in free. Event also features live music by Recycle the Day, Breezy & the Coolers, and Hello Nuvo along with many kids activities and two new food competitions: the Burger Battle and the Great Pie Pigout. 

All proceeds go to support the Warriors of Opportunity Knocks, a local nonprofit organization that serves young people with developmental disabilities in the Oak Park, River Forest, and Forest Park communities.
