Phone Robbed on CTA
A woman said her phone was taken from her as she was exiting a CTA car at the Harlem Avenue stop at about 2:45 p.m. Her white iPhone 4, which was inside a purple Speck case, and a student CTA pass were taken by a man who came from behind her. She said he was about 5-foot-7, 120-130 pounds and wearing a red/orange jacket with a hood and gray sweatpants.
Retail Theft
Erika Bastida-Vazquez, 18, and Ana Luz Moreno, 37, both of Franklin Park, were charged with retail theft after police were called to Kmart, 7630 Roosevelt Road. Store security said the two put makeup and magazines in their purses and tried to leave without paying. The items on Bastida-Vazquez were valued at $68.42, and those on Moreno were $181.67.

Peeing on Redeye
Lamar Hunt, 56, of Chicago, was charged with disorderly conduct after police said he was seen peeing on a Redeye newspaper box at the CTA Blue Line terminal, 711 Des Plaines Ave.
Police said the box was located just outside of the entrance, and "as morning commuters walked past, it was obvious by the expressions ... on their faces that they were disturbed." Hunt said he has a bad heart and had to pee badly. He was given a May 7 court date.

MONDAY, MARCH 11
No Taxi License
Johnny B. Yarbrough, 43, of Cicero, was cited under a local ordinance violation after he said he didn't have a license in Forest Park to drive a taxi. He was parked in front of Doc Ryan's when police questioned him.
