Restaurant Break-ins Reported on Madison Street
Police report cash stolen from registers at two restaurants on Madison Street, locks tampered with at other businesses.

Police are investigating break-in attempts and burglaries at restaurants in the 7600 block of Madison Street reported early Sunday, June 16.
A man broke into one restaurant in the 7600 block of Madison Street and stole $100 from the register around 3:45 a.m., police said. Surveillance footage showed the man entering through the front door of the business, then kicking the east side door open, going into the office and then leaving through the east door, police said.
Police responded to an agency alarm at the business and did not find the man in the area. According to the police report, the man was tall, had a mustache and was wearing a light-colored long sleeved shirt, a baseball cap, wire framed glasses and a black backpack.

Police checked the door locks of other businesses in the area, which had also been tampered with, police said.
Someone removed the front door lock of another restaurant in the 7600 block of Madison Street between 4:30 and 5 a.m. and stole $50 from the cash register, police said.
