SUNDAY, MAY 12

Shirtless Man Flees from Bar Fight

A Romeoville man was charged with reckless conduct after police saw him running from Doc Ryan's, 7432 Madison St. in Forest Park, at about 2:16 a.m. May 12. 

Deldrick J. Buford, 25, was involved in an argument with other bar patrons and was asked to leave, bar management told police.

He took off his shirt and ran from the back of the bar, then pounded on the window and flicked off a group of people, police said. Officers ran his license and asked Buford to leave, but Buford verbally attacked the police and continued to do so after being asked to stop. 

Buford was charged with reckless conduct and given a June 18 court date.

Child Support Warrant

Police stopped a man for drinking vodka in the 7400 block of Madison Street, and after running his name discovered he was wanted in Cook County for an active child support warrant. Mario J. Villanueva, 26, of Chicago, was booked and scheduled for bond court. 

SATURDAY, MAY 11

Bike Stolen

A K2T-Nine Crystal mountain bike was stolen near a train stop between 12:50 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. The bike was valued at $333 and was multicolored, including purple, pink, black and burgundy. 

Retail Theft

Delores Scott, 49, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest following a call to the Walmart in Forest Park. Store security said Scott put $170 of merchandise in a bag and tried to leave the store without paying. 

Police said Scott gave multiple fake names and was eventually booked. Felony retail theft charges were approved because of a prior conviction for retail theft. She was given a May 16 court date.
