Shots Fired, Apartment Ransacked: Police Blotter
Forest Park police reports, March 6-7.

THURSDAY, MARCH 7
Residential Burglary
7600 block of Wilcox in Forest Park. Owner of the building was at work from about 6 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and when he came back the common area back door was open. The tenant who lived on the first floor of the building was not home. The man's apartment was ransacked, with a box of change and a gold ring with the initials JR on it were stolen.
Shots Fired
Police were called to the 100 block of Marengo in regard to shots being fired. Multiple people in the area heard what was believed to be a gun being fired, but police couldn't find any evidence or casings.

Celebration Music?
Michael A. Calcagno, 22, of Oak Park, was ticketed for playing loud music in his car at about 8 p.m. in the 500 block of Harlem. He told police, "I was just getting off work," when an officer said his music was too loud.

Retail Theft
Elibert Navarette, 20, of Berwyn, was charged with retail theft after police were called to Walmart. Store security said Navarette put headphones and an MP3 case in her jacket and tried to leave without paying. The items were valued at $38.88.
