Stolen Credit Cards Found in Oak Park Man's Shoe

Forest Park police questioned the 21-year-man following a traffic stop in which he gave officers a fake name, then found he was wanted in Downers Grove on credit fraud charges.

An Oak Park man was charged with possession of stolen property after police stopped him and the driver of a car for failing to wear seat belts.

The passenger in the car told police a fake name, address and age before telling them he is Prince D. Young Jr., 21, of Oak Park.

Police searched Young and found three credit cards in his right shoe, all of which belonged to other people. They also ran his name and discovered he was wanted on an active warrant in Downers Grove on credit card fraud charges.

The driver said Young called him asking to hang out, and that he offered to buy gas. The driver said he thought Young was using his own payment, and he was only cited for failing to wear a seat belt.

Young was given an April 18 court date.
