Teens Charged in Attempted Robbery and Shooting of Oak Park Cop
They will appear in court Tuesday on attempted murder and other felony counts.

Two teen-agers face multiple felony charges in connection with the attempted robbery and shooting of an off-duty Oak Park police officer Sunday morning as he left his home for work.
Taiwan McNeal, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile came at Johnny Patterson, 57, in the alleyway behind his house at about 5:15 a.m. and tried to rob him, according to Chicago police, when the officer drew his weapon. One of the teens shot the officer in the arm and leg. Patterson returned fire and shot one of the teens several times. Chicago police found them nearby in the 9900 block of South Princeton.
Both are charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. They are due in court Tuesday.
